For Valentine's Day we made beautiful cards. We chose our own image from clip-art and composed romantic valentine's poems.

Library Week Winners

Weather Art Competition

Ms O'Connor entered our school in an art competition at Sutton Park. We chose the theme weather and everyone from our class entered.

Library Visit

On the 26th of January our class visited Malahide library. When we were there we had a tour of library, a short history lesson, an opportunity to use the computers and a treasure hunt. A big thank you to Susan the librarian and the parents for helping out. We all got to choose two books and we will be making regular trips to the library. Back in class we finished off the morning enjoying hot chocolates with marshmallows, cookies and a lovely cake baked by Missy and her mum.

Clay Heads

In art we worked with paper, masking tape and clay to construct our clay heads. This took three lessons to complete but we really enjoyed it. The finishing results were amazing!

Magnetism

We learnt all about magnetism through fun activities.

Music Class

We had great fun doing set dancing with Ms.Rooney!

New Years Art!

We designed and made a calendar based on the theme of the four season, each number in 2010 representing a season. We designed a frame exploring paint colour mixing to create fireworks.

Christmas Concert

This year the children in the Old School Building performed "The X-mas Factor" as there Christmas play.

Halloween Banquet

On the 23rd of October we watched a scary movie - The Nightmare before Christmas. We also ate lots of yummy but scary food.

In September we learnt all about the primary and secondary colours and tonal variations through colour mixing.

Musicians Visit the School!

In September we had a lovely opportunity to listen to traditional tunes played on recorders from the past and around the world. Thank you to Ms.Clinch for organising this wonderful experience.
